J. Murrey Atkins Library at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking a HEAD OF CATALOGING. The successful candidate will provide leadership/managerial direction and oversight for cataloging operations within Technical Services. Supervises 2 librarians and 5 support staff. Indiana University Southeast invites applications for Assistant Librarian/Coordinator of Electronic Resources. We seek creative, highly motivated candidates with an excellent understanding of collection management issues and trends (selection, acquisition, and assessment) related to electronic information resources in libraries.

The successful candidate will join a collegial team of seven librarians and ten paraprofessional staff, strongly committed to delivering state-of-the-art information resources in a supportive, service-oriented environment. Responsibilities include leadership in the selection, evaluation, purchase, licensing and assessment of online information resources; participation in bibliographic instruction and reference (including scheduled evening and weekend rotations); various liaison, supervisory, and other duties as assigned.

University of Colorado at Boulder : Continuing Resources Cataloger

The University of Colorado at Boulder Libraries invites applications from motivated and innovative librarians to perform original cataloging of continuing resources. As the largest research library in the Rocky Mountain region, the University Libraries is committed to providing access to all types of materials in conformance with national standards and to advancing the field through active service, inquiry, and participation in cooperative programs.

Reporting to the Head of E-resources and Serials Access, the Continuing Resources Cataloger is responsible for performing original and complex copy cataloging to support the University of Colorado at Boulder Libraries’ collections. Cataloging is performed on OCLC for inclusion in the local Innovative Interfaces system and in Prospector, the regional online catalog. As an original cataloger in the Cataloging & Metadata Services Department, the Continuing Resources Cataloger participates in NACO and may contribute to the Department Management Group. In furtherance of the Libraries’ mission and departmental goals, the Continuing Resources Cataloger may teach other department catalogers. The Continuing Resources Cataloger is a member of the tenure-stream Libraries faculty. Significant parts of the responsibilities of this position are scholarly activity and creative work and service in keeping with the tenure standards of the University of Colorado at Boulder.
