The Robert B. Greenblatt, M.D. Library invites applications for Electronic Resources Management Librarian (ERML), a faculty position that assumes a leadership role in managing resource access and electronic resource data analysis. The incumbent shares responsibility in a team setting for integrated acquisitions, management, access and delivery of electronic resources, monitors current trends in access and electronic resource management and administers use of electronic resource management systems and tools, especially EzProxy and SFX. The ERML shares responsibility for training and oversight of staff involved in e-resource support.
The ERML functions as a member of the Greenblatt Library’s electronic resources and collection management teams, contributing expertise with emphasis on electronic books and databases, data analysis and administration of resource management systems and tools. This librarian spearheads e-resource troubleshooting, collaborating on timely resolution of access management problems. The Librarian identifies and analyzes data useful to acquisitions, collection development and institutional reporting, extracting data from a variety of sources including electronic resource management tools, Voyager, Library and vendor websites. The ERML shares leadership with the Serials Librarian for management and administration of electronic resources and with the Systems Librarian for management of ERM systems and tools. This Librarian coordinates and arranges e-resource trials, obtains licenses and electronic resource agreements, and assists with licensing as requested. Collaborating with other team members, the Librarian participates in ongoing activity to assure optimal access to the Library’s collections and to enhance the Library’s digital resource interfaces.

Woodbury University invites applications for the position of Systems Librarian. The Systems Librarian holds a leadership role in the planning, development, and management of the Library’s technological infrastructure, electronic resources, and web presence in support of learning, teaching, and research. Assists the department head with the management of licenses for electronic resources. Expected to maintain a high-level of understanding of issues related to the acquisition, processing and management of electronic resources and their licenses. Monitors Web sites, mailing lists and other sources of information regarding developments, plans and changes to electronic resources. Assists in planning and decision-making about the management of electronic resources. Reports frequently to Head of the department on electronic resources workflow and progress on attaining goals of managing electronic resources. The University of Nevada Las Vegas Libraries seeks an innovative and future-oriented library leader to become the Director of Technical Services, a division of the Libraries comprised of two departments: Materials Ordering and Receiving (MOR) and Bibliographic and Metadata Services (BMS). The Director will manage and supervise the interdepartmental work processes for the acquisition, licensing, description, classification, and maintenance of library collections of all types and in all formats. The UNLV Libraries currently expends 75% of a $6 million collections budget on electronic resources, and the Director of Technical Services will focus the Division’s attention on the life cycle of electronic information including authentication, linking, and serials management. This position is responsible for the management of standing orders, subscriptions, and back orders for serials in electronic, print, and microform formats. Other responsibilities include serials collection development; manages the electronic serials and databases control process; provides input in serials cataloging policies; manages the college’s commercial binding contract and oversees the binding operation of the main library; and manages the microform collections and equipment, plus provides patron assistance for microforms.
