Knowledge of library automation systems (Seton Hill University uses Ex Libris’ Voyager), library databases and general computer literacy are required. Experience teaching library instruction/database searching is desirable. Hours are mainly Monday through Friday, with some evenings and weekends required. Salary is commensurate with experience. Illinois College of Optometry Library, Chicago, IL : Learning Resources Serials/Indexing Librarian

The Illinois College of Optometry Library has a position available for an indexing/serials librarian. In addition to traditional serials functions, the librarian spends the majority of his/her time indexing journal articles on eyes, eye diseases, vision, contact lenses, and other topics related to optometry and ophthalmology for our citation index, VisionCite. Because PubMed does not index the majority of the optometric literature, VisionCite provides one of the few ways to access these clinical and research articles.

Cornell University Library (CUL) seeks a service-minded Electronic Resources
Librarian to participate in the management and further development of the
Library’s large and growing online collections.  The Cornell University
Library, with an annual materials budget exceeding $18,000,000, continues to
build its extensive online collections.  Reporting to the Head, E-Resources
& Serials Management Unit, the successful candidate will work
collaboratively with colleagues throughout CUL, representatives of
publishers and vendors and faculty, staff and students who need to access
the online collections for their research and study.

The Electronic Resources Librarian, one of two in the Unit, has
responsibilities for acquisitions, licensing, implementation, assessment and
ongoing maintenance of the online collections.  The successful candidate
will also have assignments with the Associate University Librarian for
Scholarly Communications and Collections and serve as a technical services
liaison to groups engaged in building and providing quality access to our
collections.

Emporia State University Library and Archives invites applications for a Serials and Electronic Resources Librarian, which is a full-time, 12-month tenure track position at the level of Assistant Professor. This individual reports to the Head of Systems and Technical Services, the Serials and Electronic Resources Librarian is responsible for managing electronic resources, as well as print serials and other continuing resources. Registers, monitors and troubleshoots subscription related access to electronic resources with publishers and vendors, including Serials Solutions and EBSCO. Catalogs continuing resources, including print and electronic. Sets up electronic resources in Innovative Interfaces link resolver. Communicates with vendors/publishers to expedite and sustain access to electronic resources. Manages life cycle processes for electronic resources including tracking vendor, publisher, license and registration information, consortia memberships and packages, renewals, and plans for discontinuation of resources or significant interface changes. Resolves complex problems related to access and claims for serials in all formats. Develops and manages workflows to assure timely processing and continuous access to serials in all formats. Supervises and trains student assistants. Serves as a departmental liaison on the Collection Development team. Reference and instruction duties may also be assigned. This is a tenure track position governed by the university’s policies requiring research or creative achievement and professional services.
