The Humanities & Social Sciences (H & SS) Electronic Resources Librarian coordinates and leads the activities of the H & SS Technology Services Team that maintains all public and staff computer equipment in the H & SS Reference Unit and Information Commons (please see: http://www.uflib.ufl.edu/hss/infocommons/) of the newly expanded and renovated Library West at the University of Florida. The team also supports technical processing of reference materials and online catalog records and is comprised of five direct report positions.
Illinois Wesleyan University’s Ames Library invites applications for a temporary position as Visiting Electronic Resources Librarian available immediately. This full-time position will serve in a sabbatical replacement capacity through July 2008. Responsibilities include maintenance of electronic resources, such as linking capabilities and display information on electronic resources via the library web page and SFX link resolver. Equally important will be provision of liaison services, including instruction and collection development for assigned departments. Additional duties will consist of support for a variety of strategic plan initiatives and library services while colleagues are on sabbatical. Participation in the shared delivery of reference service will include night and weekend responsibilities.

The University of Mississippi Libraries seeks an Electronic Resources Librarian to provide leadership and effective management for the libraries’ electronic resources. The University of Mississippi Libraries uses Innovative Interfaces integrated library system and its companion electronic access products.
Under the direction of the Head of Serials, this position will: serve as a liaison to vendors regarding electronic resource technical issues; coordinate vendor demonstrations and trials; provide feedback on technical compatibility with electronic resource infrastructure; manage the technical changes necessary for electronic resource management; maintain the
information in our Electronic Resource Management module; troubleshoot OpenURL issues and manage WebBridge, the libraries’ OpenURL resolver, and the Web Access Management module; collect usage data for electronic resources; maintain current awareness of emerging trends; and serve on the Electronic Resource Management Team.
1. Produce original MARC catalog records in accordance with AACR2, DCRB and Library & Archives of Canada standards for English and foreign language publications included in research collections for uploading to OCLC and sale to customers. Special emphasis on French language and Canadian government document materials for Canadian Research Index (CRI)
cataloging.
2. Proof records produced by other catalogers.
3. Formulate name authority records to be entered into the National Name Authority File (NACO) and perform other tasks related to authority work for catalog records.
4. Update catalog records in Exodus database as needed.
5. Create reports using Exodus database as needed.
6. CRI cataloging requires writing short abstracts in French and/or English for documents that do not include one, and assignment of local subject and name authorities.
