Himmelfarb Health Sciences Library
The George Washington University
Would you like to help move the traditional library from a primarily print to a primarily digital environment? Himmelfarb Library has begun integrating the existing print serials collection with the ever-increasing number of digital titles and we are looking for a “serials librarian” who has the perspective and skills to help set our road map. By combining traditional print serials skills with a digital serials management component, we want to find an individual to provide the necessary analyses of where we are and where we are going, in terms of the resources themselves, as well as evolving budgetary needs and duties within the serials department. A desire to work collaboratively with the internal staff, and to provide outreach to users regarding needs assessments, continued resource identification, and user education is required. This is a great opportunity to help shape a department in transition and create an effective and successful working environment for both Himmelfarb and the incumbent. Please join us in the trip!
